How can I burn such lovely candles?
The candles have been carefully designed and are not just candles, but also messengers - they convey joy, presence and warmth. The candle is beautiful as a decoration or interior design item and does not need to be burned immediately. The candle has a long burning time, so you can enjoy it for a long time after lighting it. And there are always new candles! Loimutar updates its collection several times a year, so you can find a candle suitable for all occasions.
How do I choose the right candle as a gift?
Loimutar's products are divided into clear categories. You can explore different types of candles in the menu on our pages. Consider whether you would prefer to give an unscented or scented candle. A scented candle with a wooden core is luxurious and exquisite, but requires a little more maintenance than a regular cotton core.

How long does the scent last in a fragrance bar/room scent?
The strength of the characteristic scents of the scent tiles varies, but on average the scent lasts for about four months in the tile. The scent gradually fades. The strength of the scent depends on where the scent tile is stored. We recommend storing the scent tile in an airtight container when not in use.
The wooden wick candle is not burning properly. The flame is smoldering and about to go out. Did I do something wrong?
Although we do our best in the manufacture of wood wick candles and the composition of the candle, sometimes the wood wick chip does not burn as desired. The reason for this is not always clear. You can try shortening the extinguished wood wick and removing the charred part. You can try pouring a little liquid wax away from around the chip. Sometimes the wood wick starts to burn better a few hours after lighting.
It is important to note that the burning properties of a candle are affected by several factors. Natural products, old wicks and candles always have some tolerance for poorly burning candles. Generally, 10% of poorly burning candles in a batch is acceptable.
A smoldering wood core is therefore probably not a manufacturing defect, but a natural variation in natural candles.

Strange light spots and uneven color are forming on the surface of the glass candle
Natural waxes, such as olive and soy waxes, naturally experience a phenomenon called frosting. Frosting can occur when natural wax crystallizes over time, i.e. tries to return to its original state. Frosting is only a cosmetic defect and does not affect the burning of the candle. The frost crystals disappear when the candle warms up during burning. Frost is usually only clearly visible on darker candles. Not all candles develop frost. Frosting can be prevented during the candle making process by, among other things, ensuring that the wax is poured when it is sufficiently cooled, and we at Loimuttarella do our best in this regard.
The candle glass is broken, can I get a new product?
All our candles are carefully checked and packaged before delivery. Sometimes, products do break during delivery. We will replace the broken product for you, so please contact us.
Do I need to remove the decorations from the surface of the candle?
We recommend removing the decorations before burning or at the latest when the top layer of the candle has melted from the edges. Melted wax may carry the decorations closer to the flame, which can create a risk of flaming. In our own tests, the decorations have lasted until the end of the candle burning without catching fire, so you can use your own judgment when using the candle. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Are Loimutar's scented candles suitable for people sensitive to fragrances?
We use high-quality essential oils and cosmetic-grade fragrance oils in our products. Many asthma sufferers have been able to use our products without symptoms. However, the most sensitive individuals and some asthmatics may experience mild symptoms from our stronger fragrances. We recommend our unscented options for those sensitive to fragrances.
How long does delivery take?
We strive to ship the product soon after the customer has placed the order. Some products, such as flower candles, are made to order for the customer. Therefore, the delivery time of the products may vary depending on the product. On average, the customer receives the product within 3-5 business days from the time of ordering in Finland. The order processing time is usually 2-3 days and the delivery time is 1-2 business days, depending on the shipping company. When shipping abroad, the delivery time may be longer. During the high season, times may be longer, but we will inform you about delays and try to avoid them. We will inform you separately about holiday periods on our website.
